Escaping Slavery follows the stories of people who were captured and sold into the slave trade, as well as stories of those who helped slaves escape and how slavery was eventually abolished. Each book contains inside cover notes that highlight challenge words, prompt questions and a range of follow-up activities to support children in their reading.
