A six-volume set of action films. In the apocalyptic thriller '2012' (2009) the ancient Mayan calendar has predicted that the world will end on 21 December 2012 and scientists have confirmed the prediction as fact, but as the fateful date looms ever closer and tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and typhoons begin to cause devastating destruction, desperate efforts are made across the world to try to prevent or prepare for the inevitable disaster.

Jackson Curtis (John Cusack), a divorced writer and researcher trying to survive the cataclysm with his daughter, draws on his knowledge of ancient writings to keep them and others who have managed to survive alive.

In 'Backdraft' (1990) a childhood incident leaves brothers Stephen and Brian McCaffret (Kurt Russell and William Baldwin) mentally scarred, but that doesn't stop them following in their father's footsteps by becoming firefighters.

Brian, the more wary of the two, teams up with dogged arson investigator Donald Rimgale (Robert De Niro) after a series of blazes, and finds himself at loggerheads with the more gung-ho Stephen when he is led to suspect someone in his former unit. 'Bronson' (2009) paints a brutally violent portrait of Britain's most notorious prisoner, Charles Bronson (born Michael Peterson and later re-named by his fight promoter) - who has spent 34 years of his life in prison, and 28 of those in solitary confinement.

As a teenager in the early 1970s, Bronson (Tom Hardy) is jailed for seven years after robbing a post office.

During his sentence he becomes increasingly violent and re-styles himself as a hardened criminal, convinced that his new persona will bring him the notoriety and fame he craves. 'Crank' (2006) stars Jason Statham as ace hitman Chev Chelios, who learns that he has been injected with a poison that will kill him if his heart rate drops below a certain point.

Racing against time and against his own body, Chev must keep up the pressure as he tracks down the men responsible and exacts his violent revenge. 'Death Race 2' (2010) follows Luke Goss as a convict determined to gain his freedom no matter what it takes.

In the near future, as the US economy begins to falter and crime increases, new prisons run for profit begin to appear.

Terminal Island is one such penitentiary where a regime of brutal oppression reigns.

Beginning his life sentence after killing a policeman, Carl Lucas (Goss) soon realises his only chance for freedom lies in entering and winning the latest TV show devised by unscrupulous producer September Jones (Lauren Cohan).

In the last-man-standing 'death race', Lucas must battle it out against his fellow inmates in heavily modified vehicles designed to destroy anything that gets in their way.

Finally, in the big-screen adaptation of the 1970s police-action television series 'S.W.A.T' (2003), Colin Farrell stars as Jim Street, a young special weapons and tactics team member who has just been demoted after a bad incident and is then chosen by S.W.A.T. expert Hondo Harrelson (Samuel L. Jackson) to join an elite team which plans to heighten its public image.

Tough single mother Chris Sanchez (Michelle Rodriguez) and veteran T.J. (Josh Charles) are put together with Street and the team survive a series of tests before their first big assignment.

The assignment involves transporting an international criminal, who has offered $1 million to anyone who can help him escape, to federal authorities.
