American Hero

Stephen Dorff stars as a reluctant superhero in this American action comedy.

Melvin (Dorff) is a middle-aged alcoholic and drug addict who possesses remarkable superpowers that allow him to move objects with his mind.

Unfortunately, he's more interested in making money on the streets and spending his time partying than actually helping people.

This all changes, however, when a near-death experience makes him want to turn his life around so he can spend more time with his young son Rex (Jonathan Billions), who his ex-wife Doreen (Keena Ferguson) keeps him far away from.

Now sober, Melvin decides to use his powers for good and resolves to help clean up the streets of New Orleans.

But it's not long before he's tempted to relapse back into his old, depraved ways...
