The Anarchists

Tahar Rahim and Adèle Exarchopoulos star in this French drama from director Elie Wajeman.

Set in Paris in 1899, the film follows brigadier Jean Albertini (Rahim) who, under the orders of his superior Gaspard (Cédric Kahn), infiltrates a group of young, working-class anarchists.

To do so, he gets a job at a nail factory where he befriends co-workers Biscuit (Karim Leklou) and Elisee (Swann Arlaud).

While ingratiating himself into their group, Jean attracts the suspicions of their leader Eugene (Guillaume Gouix) and at the same time becomes romantically involved with Elisee's girlfriend Judith (Exarchopoulos).

Will he be able to maintain his cover?
