Argerich

Collection of documentaries and live performances featuring Argentine pianist Martha Argerich.

In the documentary 'Bloody Daughter' (2012) Martha's daughter Stéphanie Argerich observes the struggles her mother encountered trying to raise three children while also maintaining an award-winning artistic career that took her across the globe.

In 'Evening Talks' (2003) French film-maker Georges Gachot sits down with Martha to discuss her past, her doubts and her love of music.

The pianist also performs works alongside fellow musicians such as Nelson Freire and Friedrich Gulda.

The other featured live performances include Martha performing works by Mozart and Schubert with Daniel Barenboim at the Teatro Colón, performing in Verbier in 2007, 2008 and 2009, her Nobel Prize Concert in Stockholm in 2009, her performance of Schumann in Leipzig in 2006, as well as her performance with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 1988.
