Bollywood feature in which a couple are separated from their sons and attempt to find them again.

Poor couple Dinu (Nasir Hussain) and Mamta (Sulochana Chatterjee) live with their two sons, Sohan (Jeetendra) and Mohan (Sujit Kumar).

Wealthy aristocrat Kanta Prasad Gupta (Manmohan Krishna) requests the presence of Sohan for a short period of time for the benefit of his wife Sharda (Achala Sachdev).

However, his temporary stay becomes permanent, a change which Sohan's parents reluctantly agree to.

Meanwhile, Mohan runs away from home and can't be found.

Years later, with Mamta suffering from an illness, Dinu goes to retrieve Sohan but he is no longer in the Gupta household.

Will the couple ever be reunited with either of their sons?
