Austenland

Romantic comedy following a woman infatuated with Jane Austen's fictional character Mr Darcy as she heads on vacation to a theme park designed to recreate the atmosphere of the Austen novels.

The friends and would-be boyfriends of Jane Hayes (Keri Russell) have long since realised that she is obsessed to an unnatural degree with 'Pride and Prejudice'.

Indeed, Jane's inability to find a stable relationship appears to be largely due to the fact that any prospective boyfriend is measured unfavourably against Colin Firth's Mr Darcy, of whom she has a life-sized cardboard cut-out in her room.

In order to feed her obsession, Jane heads to 'Austenland', where Mrs. Wattlesbrook (Jane Seymour) presides over a costumed experience designed to create an immersive Austen world.

Unfortunately, the low fee she pays lands Jane in less illustrious quarters than fellow customer Elizabeth Charming (Jennifer Coolidge), but will her poorer station prove any impediment to finding love?
