Birth of the Blues/Blue Skies

Bing Crosby double-bill. In 'Birth of the Blues' (1941), Crosby stars with Mary Martin as two jazz musicians in 1920s New Orleans, who team up to create a new musical sound at the same time as they fall in love.

In 'Blue Skies' (1946), Crosby teams up with Fred Astaire as two friends turned romantic rivals, when they fall in love with the same woman.
