A Bronx Tale

Robert De Niro directs and stars in this coming-of-age crime drama set in New York in the 1960s.

As a nine-year-old, Calogero (Francis Capra) witnesses a murder committed by local mob leader Sonny (Chazz Palminteri) and when he remains quiet about what he saw after questioning from the police Sonny, by way of thanks, offers the boy's father Lorenzo (De Niro) a better paying job.

However, Lorenzo declines the offer and warns Sonny and his men to stay away from his son.

Eight years later and despite the warning, Sonny and Calogero (Lilo Brancato) have remained in contact which creates conflict between Sonny and Lorenzo as both men try to instil their vales upon the impressionable young man.
