On the planet Caprica, two rival families led by Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) and Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) vie for dominance.

As technological advancement brings both human and mechanical engineering closer together, the families' lust for power leads them on a collision course, as they use any means necessary to achieve their ends.
