In the interest of his safety, Abbas is put under the watch of Inspector Rajveer Singh (Deol), who the boy and his parents' assistant Sapna Khanna (Koirala) grow very fond of.

Rajveer believes that Naseer Ahmed (Rahul Dev), a patient at a mental institution, is responsible for the Khans' deaths and is likely to come after Abbas too.
