In 'The Rival Mashers' (1914), our hero must deal with a rival who is getting in the way of him impressing a girl.

In 'A Night Out' (1915), Chaplin and his friend Ben cause trouble in a fancy restaurant after a night in the pub, and later that night he gets caught with the head waiter's wife.

In 'Cruel Cruel Love' (1914), Chaplin plays Lord Helpus, a rich lord devastated by unrequited love.

In 'A Film Johnny' (1914), Chaplin goes to the cinema and falls in love with the actress on screen.

He then sets off to the film studio to find her, but things don't go as he planned.
