Landlord and tenant in practice (4th ed)

This manual supports the landlord and tenant option on the Bar Vocational Course and considers the statutory codes governing the three types of tenancy most frequently encountered.

It also includes the important amendments made by the Housing Act 1996 relevant to these codes.

The option and manual also include three other areas of great importance early in practice: the unlawful eviction of a tenant or licensee, the liability of both landlord and tenant for repair of the premises and the ever-green lease/licence distinction.The manual also contains precedents and working drafts of landlord and tenant statements of case and of some of the most important forms and notices.

Although primarily designed to support the landlord and tenant option on the Bar Vocational Course, it should be useful to anyone advising landlords or tenants or conducting landlord and tenant proceedings in the County Court.
