Cold Comes the Night

Drama starring Bryan Cranston as a desperate criminal who takes a mother and daughter hostage in a bid to recover money he believes belongs to him.

Motel owner and single mother Chloe (Alice Eve) believes she has her hands full trying to balance care of her daughter Sophia (Ursula Parker) with making ends meet when the perils of owning a motel are brought home to her.

Having stumbled across a bag of money in one of the rooms, she is accosted by Topo (Cranston), a nearly blind career criminal, who claims the money is rightfully his and demands to know where it is.

When it becomes clear that crooked cop Billy (Logan Marshall-Green) has absconded with the loot, the merciless Topo takes Chloe and Sophia hostage to help him reclaim it.

Though Topo's sight is failing him, he remains a canny operator, and Chloe, Sophia and, indeed, Billy, will do well to survive their encounter with him.
