Dinner for Schmucks/I Love You, Man

Collection of two comedies starring Paul Rudd. In 'Dinner for Schmucks' (2010), Rudd stars as Tim, an ambitious business executive on his way up the corporate ladder who is invited as an unofficial part of his promotion process to attend a private event held by the company's president.

For this event, a so-called 'dinner for idiots', the employee who manages to bring the most stupid guest along to the dinner is rewarded with special perks.

Tim is delighted when he (literally) runs into the perfect candidate for the role in the guise of insanely stupid IRS employee Barry (Steve Carell).

But will Barry be enough of a schmuck to secure Tim's victory?

In 'I Love You, Man' (2009), after becoming engaged to Zooey (Rashida Jones), the woman of his dreams, estate agent Peter Klaven (Rudd) realises to his horror that he has no male friend close enough to be his best man at the wedding.

He then embarks on a series of bizarre and awkward 'man-dates' until he meets Sydney Fife (Jason Segel), with whom he instantly bonds.

But the closer the two men get, the more Peter's relationship with Zooey suffers, until he is finally forced to choose between his fiancee and his new best friend.
