The Dogs of War

Mercenary James Shannon (Walken) is approached by wealthy British businessman Roy Endean (Hugh Millais) to overthrow an African dictatorship in order to allow him to install a puppet government and exploit the country's resources.

Despite knowing that the chances of a successful coup are unlikely Shannon agrees after negotiating a substantial reward.

However, as Shannon recruits a band of mercenaries and equips them with an arsenal of modern weaponry he finds himself battling with his own conscience as much as the government forces.
