Perkins (Flanagan) and Meredith (Allen) are a pair of ineffectual bailiffs who take possession of the wrong house - with chaotic results. 'Loyalties' (1933), directed by Basil Dean and Thorold Dickinson, offers a portrait of anti-Semitism in high society and stars Basil Rathbone, Heather Thatcher and Miles Mander. 'Laburnum Grove' (1936), directed by Carol Reed, stars Edmund Gwenn and Cedric Hardwicke and follows the family turmoil that accompanies a suburban man's descent into a life of crime.
