Fellini's Satyricon - The Masters of Cinema Series

Federico Fellini's adaptation of Petronious' myth of Satyricon.

In Rome, 500 BC, students Encolpio and Ascilto (Martin Potter and Hiram Keller) fall out over the ownership of a boy named Gitone (Max Born) and go their separate ways.

Their individual adventures then include a battle with the Minotaur, imprisonment on a galley ship, and a drunken orgy before the students are eventually reunited.
