Festive Collection

Collection of four seasonal family films. In 'Grounded' (2006) it's Christmas Eve and a huge blizzard has shut down Hoover International Airport.

Among the stranded travellers, five unaccompanied minors are determined to max out their holiday by running wild inside and outside the airport.

Without a parent in sight, the rampaging five outwit and outrun an uptight airport official and his gullible assistant.

Joyriding on golf carts, plummeting through baggage chutes and canoeing down a snow bank, the kids turn Christmas at the airport into holiday pandemonium and along the way prove that the holidays aren't about where you are, but who you're with.

In 'Jack Frost' (1999) aspiring rock singer Jack Frost (Michael Keaton) has been struggling for years to make it big, often missing out on time with wife Gabby (Kelly Preston) and son Charlie (Joseph Cross) along the way.

While driving to a music mogul's party one wintry evening, Jack realizes that his family is more important than his career, and turns his car around - only to plunge to his death when he swerves off the road in a blizzard!

One year on, an angry and depressed Charlie is still mourning for his father.

Deciding to make a snowman in the garden (one of the few activities Jack always found time for), Charlie gives it his dad's old scarf - only for the snowman to come to life as a reincarnated Jack.

Determined to compensate for the mistakes he made in his lifetime, the new, snow-based Jack sets out to be the kind of father Charlie always wanted.

In 'Fred Claus' (2007) Santa's brother, Fred (Vince Vaughn), has spent the best part of his life living under his younger brother Nicholas (Paul Giamatti)'s shadow.

When your sibling happens to be Santa, it's not easy living up to his example.

While Nicholas became a much-loved legend, Fred became a repo-man.

Now Fred's shady dealings have caught up with him and he faces a stretch in jail unless he can come up with a good deal of cash.

His only recourse is to turn to his brother. Over the objections of his wife (Miranda Richardson), Nicholas agrees to help his brother on one condition: he comes to work in Santa's toy shop to earn the money he needs.

Will the irascible Fred cope with his elvish duties or will he cause a calamitous Christmas for all?

In 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' (1989) the Griswold family decide to spend the Christmas season at home.

Needless to say it is not as quiet as they had planned.

Unexpected relatives and a catalogue of disasters create enough mayhem to keep them busy.
