Freeway Killer

Horror thriller based on the true story of William Bonin who terrorised California in the 1970s and 1980s with a series of brutal murders.

The film follows Bonin (Scott Anthony Leet) in the final years of his crime spree as he tries to recruit accomplices and shake off police while continuing to commit murders.

Bonin's modus operandi is to cruise the freeways and pick up hitchhikers, usually young men, often charming them with a cultured facade before leading them off to their death.

In this he is joined by his long-time accomplice, Vernon (Dusty Sorg), and tame teenager Kyle (Cole Williams), who Bonin seduces and leads astray.

As the body count continues to mount it becomes more and more difficult for the crimes to be concealed and the relationships between the three men come under strain as the police take an ever greater interest in their activities.
