From Prada to Nada

When their wealthy father suddenly dies, two Latino sisters quickly discover what life's really like on the other side of the tracks.

Having led pampered lives in Beverley Hills, Nora (Camilla Belle) and Mary (Alexa Vega) receive a rude awakening when their father dies and they are taken in by their distant aunt Aurelia (Adriana Barraza) at her home in East L.A.

Never having acknowledged their heritage before, the sudden immersion in all things Latino comes as quite a shock to the previously haughty sisters, whose struggles with the language and culture know no bounds.

But as the girls get to know their lost relatives and become more at ease in their new neighborhood, they soon come to realise that money can never take the place of a loving family.
