Through collected home movies, diary excerpts, old family pictures, interviews with those who knew him, family testimony etc, the picture of a family-loving even-handed man emerges.

This contrasts sharply with the reality of Shakur's life, which in essence was that of a misogynistic criminal.

His own voice, collected from interviews he gave while living, provides an eerie voiceover.
