Greatest Ever Fantasy Films

Collection of family fantasy adventures. In ' Nanny Mc Phee' (2005), Cedric Brown (Colin Firth) has recently lost his wife and is faced with the prospect of trying to raise his seven unruly children on his own.

With the wild children too much for most nannies, all of whom have quickly left his service, Cedric is one day commanded by a mysterious voice to hire the witch-like Nanny McPhee (Emma Thompson), who uses her magical powers to keep the children in line.

In 'The Grinch' (2000), Jim Carrey plays the grouchy green monster who lives high up on a mountain overlooking the town of Whoville.

The Grinch hates happiness, hates merriment, and, most of all, hates Christmas.

So one year, as the festive season approaches, he decides that enough is enough and draws up plans to steal all the decorations and all the presents from the poor, unsuspecting citizens below.

Does this mean the Whos won't be celebrating this year?

Not if little Cindy Lou (Taylor Momsen) has anything to do with it.

In 'Labyrinth' (1986), suburban girl Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) is forced against her will to babysit her baby brother, and wishes for the goblins to come and take him away.

When this wish unexpectedly comes true, the Goblin King (David Bowie) tells Sarah that she can rescue her brother only by negotiating the labyrinth which leads to the Goblin Castle.

Left with no choice, Sarah sets out on a dangerous adventure in a land where nothing is what it seems.

In 'Peter Pan' (2003), Peter (Jeremy Sumpter) the boy who wouldn't grow up, and Wendy (Rachel Hurd-Wood), the girl who is told she has to, set off on their adventure against Captain Hook (Jason Isaacs) and his pirate crew.

Follow Tinker Bell (Ludivine Sagnier), the Lost Boys, giant crocodiles and other creatures to Neverland - a world where anything is possible.

Finally, in 'Jumanji' (1995), young Judy (Kirsten Dunst) and Peter (Bradley Pierce) discover the board game Jumanji in their new house.

But when they begin to play they release wild animals along with Alan Parrish (Robin Williams), a grown man who has been trapped inside the game since he was 12 years old.

Together they must seek out Alan's friend Sarah (Bonnie Hunt) and re-enter the game to win.

In doing so they have to face elephants, lions, and the big game hunter Van Pelt (Jonathan Hyde).
