New surgical registrar Dr Caroline Todd (Greig) starts her first day at work, and soon realises that her colleagues are more than a little eccentric, including sexually deviant surgeon Alan (Mark Heap), misogynistic anaesthetist Guy (Stephen Mangan), and the aloof senior surgeon Dr McCartney (Julian Rhind-Tutt).

Also included is the one-off special episode in which Caroline is engaged to Guy, while Mac has very little time to live.
