In the early 1990s, just prior to the beginning of the Gulf War, a team of archeologists working in Iraq unwittingly unleash the Babylonian God of Death from its sarcophagus.

Ten years later, at the beginning of the new millennium, a series of brutal killings begins taking place in inner city America, each death being connected to a mysterious new drug called CHAOS.

When detective John Kross (Mario Van Peebles) starts investigating the killings, he finds the trail points back to the events in the Iraqi desert a decade earlier.

But can he overcome his own personal demons in time for the confrontation with absolute evil which has now become his destiny?
