Hammer: Volume One - Fear Warning!

Collection of four classic horror films from Hammer Film Productions.

In 'Maniac' (1963), American artist Jeff Farrell (Kerwin Mathews) enters a relationship with an older woman named Eve Beynat (Nadia Grey) while on holiday in the south of France.

Jeff discovers that Eve's husband is in a mental asylum for using a blowtorch to brutally murder a man who raped Eve's daughter, Annette (Liliane Brousse), whom Jeff is secretly attracted to.

Eve and Jeff hatch a plan to free her husband, but all is not as it seems as Jeff ends up embroiled in an unfavourable situation.

In 'The Gorgon' (1964) the village of Vandorf seems to be cursed with an ancient evil when a series of murders take place.

The victims are all turned to stone, and after his son, Bruno (Jeremy Longhurst), is used as a scapegoat following his suicide, Professor Heitz (Michael Goodliffe) arrives to investigate.

The mysterious Professor Namaroff (Peter Cushing) and local police chief Kanof (Patrick Troughton) close ranks, making it clear that the Professor is not welcome, and soon he too has been turned to stone, but not before leaving a note for his other son (Richard Pasco) warning him that the Gorgon of Greek mythology is at work in the village.

In 'The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb' (1964) a team of archaeologists uncover a cursed tomb in Egypt.

The American financier of the expedition intends to tour the tomb's treasures around the States, but a mysterious stranger seems intent on stopping him, no matter the cost to human life.

Finally, in 'Fanatic' (1965), Tallulah Bankhead stars as the fanatically religious Mrs. Trefoile, a psychotic woman who, with the help of her gardener (Donald Sutherland), imprisons her dead son's fiancée (Stephanie Powers) in a tiny room in her home so that the girl's soul will be properly cleansed in order to be reunited with her dead husband in heaven.
