With PC Rowan having emigrated to Canada, former Metropolitan police officer PC Bradley (Jason Durr) is now the man responsible for keeping the residents of the sleepy 1960s Yorkshire village of Aidensfield on the right side of the law.

In this series Bradley is preoccupied with preparations for his marriage to solicitor Jackie (Fiona Dolman), while the district nurse, Maggie (Kazia Pelka), attempts to adjust to the demands of being a single parent.
