The Island

Michael Ritchie directs this action thriller starring Michael Caine and David Warner.

Blair Maynard (Caine) is a journalist sent to a Caribbean island to investigate the disappearance of a pleasure cruiser and its crew.

What he discovers is a time warp, which allows a seventeenth century pirate ship to maraud around the local waters.

Before he can escape the pirate's clutches, Blair's young son is captured, and turned against his father.

The cast also includes Angela Punch-McGregor, Frank Middlemass and Dudley Sutton.
