When his grandfather requests that Suraj (Khan) return home to help with an industrial project, he reluctantly does so, but upon his arrival he is introduced to a beautiful young woman named Komal (Khanna).

Being a persistent womaniser, Suraj concocts a story to win her heart, but she soon sees through his seedy ways and leaves him.

Realising he has fallen for Komal he tries to win her back but first he must shake his bad habits.

Soon afterwards it seems the couple can enjoy their newfound love, until one day on returning home Suraj is greeted by a boy claiming to be his son...
