Ernest Tilley (Attenborough) feels like his life is over when his daughter is killed in a hit-and-run.

Determined to bring justice to the driver in his daughter's honour, Ernest builds a homemade bomb and locates the driver to the airport where he sees him boarding a plane.

After Ernest follows him on to the plane, he waits until they are in the air before declaring to all on board that he has a bomb.

Fearing for their lives, can the passengers, a collection of seemingly unconnected people, put their heads together to stop Ernest before it's too late?
