Moby Dick

John Huston directs this epic adaptation of Herman Melville's classic novel.

Captain Ahab (Gregory Peck), skipper of the whaling vessel Pequod, sets sail from New Bedford in 1840, determined to wreak vengeance on Moby Dick, the great white whale that almost took his life.

Ahab works his crew up into a frenzy as they cross the oceans in search of their quarry, but his obsession takes a tragic turn when Moby Dick is finally sighted.

The cast also includes Richard Basehart, Leo Genn and Orson Welles.
