Lara Croft - Tomb Raider/Aeon Flux

Angelina Jolie takes the role with her real-life father (Jon Voight) playing her father, Lord Croft, who has recently died.

She looks for lost antiquities and will use her highly-trained, fighting skills to get what she wants.

When she comes up against an ancient organisation led by Powell (Iain Glen), Lara finds herself travelling across the globe and fighting mysterious creatures to get to an ancient relic before Powell, one that has immense powers. 'Aeon Flux' is the big-budget adaptation of the cult MTV animated series, starring Charlize Theron as the titular futuristic assassin. 400 years in the future, disease has wiped out most of the world's population.

The survivors live in a vast, hi-tech city called Bregna, run by an authoritarian government of scientists.

An underground rebellion movement, known as the Monicans, are starting to fight back, but when the Handler (Frances McDormand) dispatches top operator Aeon Flux (Theron) to kill a government leader, she stumbles on a vast conspiracy that has overwhelming implications for the future of the city.
