After her mother is killed by an axe murderer, teenager Lisa Swallows (Newton) struggles to come to terms with the loss and spends most of her free time in the local cemetery.

When the Victorian man whose grave she regularly speaks to rises from the dead after his grave is struck by lightning, he seeks her out, but he is mute and missing multiple body parts.

They soon realise that by using electricity, they can restore the parts he needs to be whole, but first they need to source the necessary parts from the living...

The cast also includes Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano and Carla Gugino.
