Mr. Moto's Last Warning

Peter Lorre stars in this classic crime thriller. In Port Said, a Japanese detective calling himself Mr Moto is abducted and killed.

But the real Mr Moto (Lorre) has in fact faked his own death, leaving him free to investigate an international conspiracy involving two rogue secret agents in the employ of a foreign power, who plan to mine Port Said harbour and destroy a visiting French fleet.

By carefully planting fake evidence, the traitorous agents hope to foment a war between Britain and France, a war that would be to the advantage of the nameless country they work for.

Mr Moto poses as a local shopkeeper and goes undercover to apprehend the criminals before they can put their deadly plan into effect.
