One Day/Atonement

A double-bill of love stories based on best-selling novels.

Over the following two decades, the ups and downs of the relationship between the idealistic Emma and wealthy ladies' man Dexter are revisited every July 15th, as they try to take stock of their lives, and attempt to discover what they've both been missing all along. 'Atonement' (2007) is director Joe Wright's adaptation of the novel by Ian McEwan starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy.

Watching Cecilia is their housekeeper's son Robbie Turner (James McAvoy), a childhood friend who, along with Cecilia, has recently graduated from Cambridge.

But by the end of that day the lives of all three are changed forever as Robbie and Cecilia become victims of Briony's imagination...
