The Padre

In search of a con man on the run, U.S. Marshal Nemes (Nolte) tracks down his target to Mexico where the con man has disguised himself as a clergyman.

Padre (Roth), as he is known to the townsfolk, is in the middle of his latest con when local police officer Gaspar (Guzmán) catches him in the act causing Padre to flee the scene quickly in a stolen car.

Unaware that a young girl has stowed away in the vehicle, Padre finds himself blackmailed by the girl who is aware of his situation and the bounty on his head.
