After the sudden death of renowned photographer Christina Eames (Chanté Adams), journalist Michael Block (Stanfield) is tasked with writing about her life.

As part of his research Michael approaches Christina's daughter Mae (Rae) but he finds himself distracted from the assignment when he quickly falls for Mae.

Michael's feelings for her are reciprocated, however, Mae doubts her ability to love because of her mother's indifference and in order to be happy Mae must learn to detach herself from her mother's past.
