Horror in which an evil spirit that possesses its victims through video recordings terrorises a small town.

Julian (Johnny Pacar) unwittingly unleashes the spirit when he decides to investigate a murder that occurred in the town over a decade ago for his high school journalism class.

The investigation is really an excuse for Julian and his friends to make their own horror flick as they set out to recreate the crime.

However, when they revisit old news footage of the killer, Harlan Diehl (Luke Bonczyk), Julian's friend, Quinn (Toby Hemingway), begins acting strangely and Julian wonders what exactly he has awoken...
