Matilda Lutz stars as the eponymous Marvel Comics character in this low-budget fantasy adventure directed by M.J.

Bassett. When her homeland of Hyrkania is invaded by barbarians, young Sonja witnesses the slaughter of most of her people and is forced to flee into a nearby forest.

Years later she must unite a group of warriors and outcasts in an attempt to defeat the evil Emperor Draygan (Robert Sheehan) and his most deadly fighter, Dark Annisa (Wallis Day).

The cast also includes Michael Bisping, Rhona Mitra and Martyn Ford.
