Salt/Wanted

Double bill of thrillers starring Angelina Jolie. In 'Salt' (2010) Jolie stars as Evelyn Salt, an ex-CIA officer whose loyalty is put to the test when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy.

In an attempt to evade capture for long enough to gather the evidence she needs to clear her name and protect her husband, Michael (August Diehl), Salt goes on the run, using all the tricks of her trade as a covert operative to stay off the radar of the CIA counter-intelligence officers sent to track her down.

However, Salt's efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast further doubt on her motives as the hunt to uncover the truth of her identity escalates into an international operation overseen by the world's most powerful forces. 'Wanted' (2008) follows the story of Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy), an office worker whose mundane life is transformed when he meets the enigmatic Fox (Jolie), a member of a secret society of assassins named The Fraternity.

The Fraternity's leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman), informs Wes that the father he always thought was dead was actually one of their top assassins, and that following his recent murder, he must avenge his father's death by releasing the dormant powers he has inherited.

Although reticent at first, Wes quickly warms to both the task and Fox, as his life takes a more exciting direction.
