The Shepherd of the Hills

Set in the Ozark Mountains, Daniel Howitt (Carey) is an elder who moved to the small town of Mutton Hollow following the tragic deaths of his wife and children.

Reclusive, he is given the affectionate nickname Shepherd of the Hills as he spends his days in the mountains.

When he meets and befriends the Matthews family, specifically patriarch Old Matt (James Barton), their relationship blossoms, but Young Matt (Wayne) remains suspicious of the new face in town.
