After rescuing an inventor in Switzerland from the clutches of the Nazis, Holmes escorts him and his pioneering bomb-sight designs back to Britain.

But Holmes soon finds himself crossing swords once more with his nemesis, Professor Moriarty (Lionel Atwill), who has allied himself with the Nazi regime.

This time, Holmes must use his skills not just to solve a crime, but to save the world.
