Tom Jones

British comedy drama which follows the bawdy exploits of rustic playboy Tom Jones (Albert Finney), a poor adopted country boy who has a taste for wine, women and money.

Whilst trying to create his own wealth, he sets his sights on Sophie Western (Susannah York).

Sophie's family, however, refuse to allow her to marry a child of illegitimacy, directing her attention instead towards another young man, Blifil (David Warner), who carries a hostile and ill-tempered nature.
