Unlikely Hero

Richard Dunn (Daniels), a struggling novelist, is spending the winter at a secluded Long Island location at the behest of his wife Claire (Lisa Kudrow), who is a successful surgeon.

With only his imaginary childhood friend, Captain Excellent (Reynolds), for company, Richard enjoys the solitude while researching his next project.

It isn't long before he befriends local teenager Abby (Stone), who appreciates his talent and his fatherly advice.

As the unlikely pairing get to know one another, their friendship grows while they become one another's confidante.

Can they both help each other get their lives in order?
