World War II Collection: Volume 2

Collection of Second World War dramas. 'Secret Mission' (1954) follows four intelligence officers as they arrive in occupied France on a mission to determine the strength of the German forces, but they know full well that they are on a suicide mission.

Once they penetrate the Nazi headquarters, can they survive long enough to get their information to the British troops?

Roland Culver, Michael Wilding and Hugh Williams co-star.

In 'Millions Like Us' (1943) shy working-class girl Celia Crowson (Patricia Roc) is called up for war service during World War Two and dreams of a glamorous job in one of the services.

But as a young unmarried woman, she is given a position in a local factory manufacturing aircraft parts.

There she makes friends with other girls from very different social backgrounds, and begins a tentative relationship with a young airman, Fred Blake (Gordon Jackson).

In 'Freedom Radio' (1941), when his actress wife Irena (Diana Wynyard) moves to Berlin to further her career, throat specialist Dr. Karl Roder (Clive Brook) decides to accompany her, although he is vehemently opposed to the newly-elected Nazi regime.

There he meets Hans Glaser (Derek Farr), a young engineer whose girlfriend has been incarcerated in a concentration camp.

Together, they set up their own broadcasting service, Freedom Radio, to denounce the Nazi movement. 'Two Thousand Women' (1944) takes place in a women's internment camp in Nazi-occupied France.

Forced to live together in trying circumstances, a group of British women from varied backgrounds must put their social differences aside and band together to protect not just themselves, but three survivors from a British bomber plane who make an emergency landing in the camp's grounds.
