X-Men Origins - Wolverine

Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine in this superhero action adventure prequel directed by Gavin Hood.

When James Howlett is a boy in 1845, he witnesses the murder of the man he thought was his father.

This activates his mutation and causes bone claws to protude from his knuckles.

He flees with his half-brother Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) and they become soldiers, fighting in the American Civil War, both World Wars and the Vietnam War together, but Victor is becoming increasingly violent and uncontrollable.

Major William Stryker (Danny Huston) offers them both the chance to join Team X, a black ops team comprised of mutants, and James adopts the name Logan but soon decides to leave the team.

However, he cannot escape the attentions of Stryker, or his brother, forever...

The cast also includes Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch and Daniel Henney.
