Company Law Reform Bill (HL)

This Bill is in two volumes with 37 parts and 15 schedules, and contains measures which seek to implement the proposals set out in the Government's White Paper (Cm 6456, ISBN 0101645627, March 2005) to modernise the company law framework in line with modern business needs.

The proposals are designed to minimise the regulatory burden on business, particularly small and medium sized enterprises, drawing on the recommendations of the independent Company Law Review report published in 2001.
