Summer in February

Christopher Menaul directs this British drama based on the lives and loves of the Newlyn School of artists, influential at the beginning of the 20th century.

Arguably the wildest and most free-spirited sect of the school is the Lamorna Group, who live together at the Lamorna Valley Estate on the Cornish coast.

Alfred Munnings (Dominic Cooper) is one of the foremost artists based at Lamorna, a strident opponent of modernism particularly famous for his skill at depicting horses.

However, Alfred faces stern competition for the love of fellow artist Florence Carter-Wood (Emily Browning) in the form of the estate's land agent Gilbert Evans (Dan Stevens).
