Festivals

To help teachers of five to eleven year olds introduce some of the festivals and traditions of different religions, this book offers a range of photocopiable activities based on the religious festivals of Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Sikhism.

The activities include ideas for creative writing, puzzles, classroom display, and making and playing festival-linked games.

The book is organized into four sections, starting with autumn, so that teachers can plan activities term by term.

The teachers' notes give a background to each of the festivals and include a cross-referencing festivals calendar chart.
