Cryotherapy: Video Set : Cryotherapy for First Aid and Rehabilitation

Based on Ken Knight's book, "Cryotherapy in Sport Injury Management" (ISBN 0 87322 771 9), these two videos are designed for use by sports medici ne professionals to: help athletes understand cryotherapy and comply to this recommended self-therapy; teach sports first aid or athletic training courses; and make presentations to local sports groups. The first tape explains why cryotherapy works through animated depictions of the injury process at the cellular level and how cryotherapy slows this process.

The tape then introduces the RICES approach - Rest, Icing, Compression, Elevation, and Stabilization - for immediate treatment of injuries.

The second tape shows how to get back into the game quickly by using the advanced techniques of cryokinetics and cryostretch.
